In November 18th, the company signed a contract of building four 64,000dwt bulk carriers with India KC Maritime Ltd. In November 28th, Huangpu Shipbuilding signed a contract of building four 36,000dwt multi-purpose ships with COSCO Shipping Co., Ltd.

The 64,000dwt bulk carrier is derived from the 57,000dwt bulk carrier through innovation by Huangpu Shipbuilding and classified by LR with total length of 199.9m, molded width of 32.26m, molded depth of 18.5m, design draft of 11.3m, navigation speed of 14.4kn and endurance of 18,000nm. The ship holds characteristics of green and environment protection, energy saving, low fuel consumption, large carrying capacity and good seaworthiness and belongs to economic super handymax type with major performance indicators better than those of the same ship type in market.

The 36,000dwt multi-purpose ship to be built by Huangpu Shipbuilding with strong cargo loading capability can carry bulk cargos like grain, coal, minerals etc. and other goods including steel products, wooden products, large & heavy goods, container and dangerous goods etc. with total length of 189.99m, molded width of 28.5m and molded depth of 15.8m.
